ذكرت الشرطة المجرية، الأحد، أن انفجارا، لم يعرف سببه، هز وسط بودابست في وقت متأخر من السبت، مسفرا عن إصابة شرطيين.
وأوضحت الشرطة، في بيان، أنها استعانت بخبراء لفحص المنطقة ومقابلة الشهود وجمع البيانات، فيما يجري فحص مصادر الانفجار وتقييم الأضرار المترتبة عنه.
وقالت إن الانفجار وقع حوالي الساعة العاشرة والنصف مساء، بالتوقيت المحلي (20:30 بتوقيت غرينتش)، وفق ما نقلت “رويترز”.
ورفض متحدث باسم الحكومة، التعليق بشأن ما إذا كان التفجير ناجما عن هجوم متعمد، وفق ما نقلت الوكالة.
وعرف رئيس الوزراء المجري، فيكتور أوربان، بمعارضته الصريحة للهجرة إلى أوروبا، وقام بحملة لإجراء استفتاء بشأن حصص إعادة توطين المهاجرين، بدعوى أن الهجرة تزيد التهديد الإرهابي في أوروبا.
وأوردت وسائل الإعلام المحلية، أن الشرطة طوّقت منطقة واسعة حول ميدان أوكتوغون بوسط بودابست، ودعت السكان إلى مغادرة المباني القريبة من موقع الانفجار.
