The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) have controlled parts of Syria's north and northeast since the Syrian regime unilaterally withdrew from the region in 2012. The YPG has scored major victories against IS in Kobane, Tal Abyad and Hasakeh province with aerial support from the US-led coalition fighting the jihadists. لقي 5 أشخاص مصرعهم، فيما أصيب العشرات، الأربعاء، جراء تفجير استهدف مقر الإدارة المحلية ببلدة تل أبيض السورية، التي يسيطر عليها الأكراد قرب الحدود التركية.
ونقلت “رويترز” عن شهود عيان أن انتحاريا، يقود سيارة ملغومة، هاجم المبنى الذي تديره السلطات المحلية الكردية في البلدة.
واسترجعت وحدات حماية الشعب الكردية السيطرة على تل أبيض من أيدي تنظيم داعش الإرهابي في هجوم دعمته ضربات جوية نفذها التحالف بقيادة الولايات المتحدة.
وتقع تل أبيض إلى الشمال من الرقة وكانت خط إمداد رئيسيا لمعقل التنظيم الإرهابي.
